Weicheng Zhao, the brilliant Associate Organist-Choirmaster at All Saints Church, will compete this June in the final rounds of the prestigious 2016 National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance of the American Guild of Organists (AGO). Last fall, 46 young organists from across the United States submitted recordings for the preliminary application round, and Weicheng was chosen as one of nine finalists. The semifinal round will be held Wednesday, June 15 at the Church of the Transfiguration in Dallas, Texas. Five finalists will in turn be selected and will play at the final round on Saturday, June 18 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Houston, as part of the national AGO convention. We send Weicheng to Texas with all our love, good wishes and positive energy!
