Church closes for renovations

We closed down the Church the day after the Second Sunday of Easter, 1991. For the 5-6 month time of renovation, we worshipped in the Forum — four services: one said, two with choir and one with quartet. A stage extension was built onto the south end of the Forum and the Yamaha grand from the church was placed on that. We used piano and synthesizer to lead worship, and it all worked pretty well. For Homecoming, we had a blow-out service in the street.
