At Lessons and Carols I was not prepared for the Howell's Magnificat. Imagine a familiar piece being presented with inner lines and harmonies which made it a new, fresh and even startling experience! At the end I could not hold back the joyful tears and deep, deep connection with you, the organist and the choir.

With you leading us at the ACDA evensong, we went to some place we haven't been before. It was transformative for me. James, thank you for taking us there.

James, your impeccable leadership with the All Saints choirs is tremendous. You contribute greatly to the energy that abounds at All Saints, and I know you will continue making All Saints a safe haven for beautiful and detail-filled music.

When we performed the Duruflé Requiem together, it was a special privilege to collaborate with an organist like you who knows the piece backward and forward - from the viewpoint of the podium as well as the console.

I am fortunate to have worked musically with James Walker for many years. Not only is he an outstanding choral conductor in EVERY respect, but it is also a joy and an honor to have him at the piano when I am performing solo. He is intuitive, prepared, thoughtful, collaborative, versatile and fun! When James is playing, I need only to be concerned about my own preparation and enjoyment of the performing experience.
It is such a comfort to know you're at the keyboard when I'm singing. You are always so impeccably prepared and musically polished. Plus, I can feel your energy, your sensitivity radiating towards me while I sing — this makes for the ultimate collaborative experience.
